Here’s a photo of Teeside's very own Silver Olympic Medallist, proudly showing off his medal. Nicknamed The Teeside Tornado, Richard Kilty won Silver in the 4x100m Relay Olympic Final in Tokyo last weekend.
Richard tells the BBC: "After the heat we knew we had to pull it out. We're olympic silver medalists. I'd like to thank all the staff, our friends, family, the National Lottery - we went to win it and were unlucky, but we're silver medalists. In 20 years time we'll look back on this night as one of the best in our lives. This man (Mitchell-Blake ran an amazing leg. This is a team, we're together."
What a fantastic achievement for Team GB and our friend Richard!
