Land Rover Unveils New Limited Edition 007-Inspired Defender V8

Developed by Land Rover’s SV Bespoke division, the new Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition has been created to celebrate the 25th James Bond film, “No Time To Die”, ahead of its world premiere later this month.

The V8 Bond Edition features an Extended Black Pack with 22-inch Luna Gloss Black alloy wheels, signature Xenon Blue front brake calipers and a ‘Defender 007’ rear badge.

Unlike Bond’s famous Aston Martin DB5, the Defender has no cool spy gadgets. What it does have, though, is a whole heap of exclusive branding, including a “Defender 007” rear badge, illuminated tread plates and puddle lamps. The touchscreen infotainment system also features a special Bond animation. Offered in both 90 (three-door) and 110 (five-door) versions, the Defender V8 Bond Edition has a stealthy aesthetic like the ones seen in the upcoming Bond film.

Each example will carry the SV Bespoke logo and have a series number etching denoting it as a ‘one of 300’ collector's item. Each vehicle will be commissioned by the vehicle personalisation experts at SV Bespoke in the UK and have a starting price of $114,600.

In terms of performance, the Bond Edition will be identical to the standard Land Rover Defender V8 5.0-litre Supercharger with 518 BHP, a top speed of 149 MPH and capable of 0-60 MPH in just 5.1 seconds.

“The Land Rover Defender V8 Bond Edition is an exclusive take on the most powerful production Defender ever made, inspired by vehicles on screen in No Time to Die,” Land Rover’s brand director Finbar McFall said in a statement. “It represents a meeting of two great British brands and is a unique celebration of Land Rover’s 38-year association with James Bond.”
